TRAINING PROGRAMME

KPTT is a comprehensive classical Pilates teacher training programme in London UK offering certification through Romana's Pilates. 
KPTT, located at 
Kinetic Pilates, is the only Romana's Pilates certification programme currently available in the UK.
KPTT offers full certification to individuals and offers a 
bridging programme for Pilates instructors certified by other methods or systems.  

ROMANA'S PILATES TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME AT KPTT
Romana's Pilates Instructor Training Programme is demanding, thorough and produces some of the best instructors in the business. The course outline involves a demanding physical training regime, hundreds of hours of observation and practical and written evaluations and requires a minimum of 700 apprenticeship.

Rebecca Convey at 
Kinetic Pilates, is a Level IV Romana's Pilates Instructor Trainer and is certified to supervise trainees at her studio. She will guide you through the programme. All Instructor Trainers in Romana's Pilates have been carefully selected by Romana and/or Sari  based on long-term observations of their experience, dedication and prowess as Romana's Pilates instructors.

Rebecca hosts Grand Master Instructor Sari Mejia Santo (Level 1 Romana's Pilates instructor) who was trained by Joseph and Clara Pilates as well as her mother Romana at her studio. She also works closely with two of Europe’s top Romana’s Pilates instructors: 
Marjorie Oron (Master Instructor Level II Romana's Pilates Instructor Trainer) and Jane Poerwoatmodjo (Level III Romana's Pilates Senior Instructor Trainer) based in Holland and Lauren Stephen (Level III Romana's Pilates Senior Instructor Trainer) based in Seattle, USA

With their guidance and 60 years of collective experience teaching the method and training countless teachers, KPTT is in good hands to offer a successful programme.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry into the programme is by invitation by Rebecca Convey after completing and passing an assessment for a Level IV (or above) Romana's Pilates Instructor Trainer.

To begin the program, students must demonstrate proficiency at the intermediate level (at a minimum) on all of the Pilates equipment. In most cases this will take a minimum of 75 private sessions although there is no set minimum number and candidates are evaluated on an individual basis.

You should have studied Pilates with a Classical Pilates Instructor (preferably Romana's Pilates) for a minimum of 1-2 years before starting the instructor training programme and be able to commit a minimum of 15 hours apprenticeship per week.


LOCATION & TRAVEL

KPTT Instructor Training Programme will take place at Kinetic Pilates 4 & 6 Ossian Mews London UK. However, individuals may need to travel for seminars, tests or further training. 

Trainees are encouraged to visit other Romana's Pilates studios during their training to expose themselves to the many talented and dedicated Instructor trainers around the world.

 
SEMINARS, APPRENTICESHIP HOURS AND TESTING
The Instructor Training Programme consists of 3 different seminars which last 2-3 days each.

*Independent study consists of observations, sessions, practicing, assisting and teaching, as well as personal study at the studio. These hours must be completed prior to testing.
